Last Monday Samsung announced that they will be expanding the Galaxy Gear‘s compatibility to more smartphones. Instead of only working with the Note 3, this will expand the reach of the new smartwatch and create a much wider audience than originally expected.
The company says it will be putting out a Premium Suite update that will make many more of their products compatible with the smartwatch. This includes the Samsung Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note II and the Galaxy S III.
The Premium Suite update is going to make Android 4.3 and many other features available to smartphones, but the release dates will vary depending on your mobile carrier and specific device, says Samsung.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 mini and Galaxy Mega users will also be getting the update, but are going to have to wait just a bit longer. Samsung says updates for these devices will be released in the following months.
