Due to the high anticipation and the volume of pre-orders, Sprint announced this week that there may be some delays in the delivery of the Galaxy S III. The carrier said that there was an “overwhelming demand” that could result in a bit of a delay.
According to Sprint’s community website, the company was trying to stay optimistic and hoped that today it would be able to provide the device to all of its customers who had pre-ordered the 16GB version, however, that was not a guarantee. For those who pre-ordered the 32GB version of the Galaxy S III, Sprint said that it would be distributing the phone sometime during the next week.
As of right now, Sprint’s website lists the Galaxy S III as “Coming Soon.” The company is not taking any more pre-orders and there is a note on Sprint’s website page that says, “Sorry, we’re out of stock.” According to Sprint, when the company begins accepting orders for the smartphone again, the 16GB device will cost you $199.99 and the 32GB device will be $249.99.
Thankfully, delays do not seem to be plaguing T-Mobile. In fact, the mobile carrier tweeted this morning, “Attn Galaxy S Fans: Starting today, you can purchase a Samsung Galaxy S III only at T-Mobile!”
As of now, T-Mobile has the new 16GB device listed on their website for $329.99 and the 32GB device is available for $379.99. Both devices offer customers a $50 mail-in rebate.
If you were wondering, the Galaxy S III will not be offered exclusively at Sprint and T-Mobile; this is just the case at the moment. AT&T, Verizon Wireless, C-Spire and U.S. Cellular will also offer the device. As of right now, an official date for when the smartphones will be available at these providers has not been announced; however, AT&T, Verizon and U.S. Cellular have already begun to take pre-orders.

Everyone keeps telling me to upgrade to the iPhone 4S but I think I’m going to go with this device instead
I chose this over Iphone 4s and I’m really satisfied. I like big screens and it’s a very powerful device and definitely better than any other phones that I have tried.
