Motorola Jumps the Gun, Accidentally Releases Information on Atrix HD

Motorla Atrix HDDon’t you love it when someone at a major company accidentally reveals some major product that they shouldn’t have? Well, I do and the most recent example of this comes from Motorola where someone at the company has apparently jumped the gun on the company’s brand new Atrix HD smartphone.

A splash page that dropped recently included specs and a sign-up button for Motorola’s Atrix HD. The page appeared on the company’s web site but has since been taken down. Codenamed “Dinara”, the latest handset in the Atrix lineup is splash resistant and also comes with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor.

In addition to that, the “Dinara” runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and comes with a 4.5″ HD ColorBoost display which is made out of Corning Gorilla Glass. The “Dinara” will also feature the Kevlar microweave fiber backplate like the new Motorola Droid Maxx and Razr smartphones.

The Atrix HD will also sport an 8-megapixel camera in the rear as well as a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. There wasn’t a lot of information released on the splash page before it was taken down. No information was released on pricing, availability or carriers, though the AT&T logo on the front of the device is a dead giveaway that the device will at least be on AT&T.

Hopefully more information about the “Dinara” comes out soon, this time when it is supposed to. If new information does come out, I also hope it sheds some light on more internal specifications as well as a pricetag and a generalized release date.

Are you excited about the newest device in the Atrix line from Motorola? Early pics of the phone look good and early specs are nice. I’ll be holding out for the Samsung Galaxy S III, which is already getting fantastic reviews across the board, even though Apple is trying to halt production on that device too, stupid Apple.
